Unpaid leave

If you are planning to take unpaid leave, you will temporarily accrue less pension or no pension at all.

Everything will be arranged for you
Ask your employer about the conditions applicable for unpaid leave. Your employer will let us know which agreements you have made. You will not need to contact us yourself.

What else do you need to know?

• Unpaid leave includes sabbaticals, study leave and life-course leave.
• While on unpaid leave, you will continue to be insured for a partner’s pension and orphan’s pension for a maximum of 18 months.
